Triaging by reception staff

From May 2017 we have started new triage service where reception staff will ask you why you want an appointment with clinician so that they signpost you to the correct person or service. Dr Piracha and Dr Zaman appreciate you co-operation in this matter but if you still do not want to tell staff the reason then a note will be added "personal reason" on your appointment.

Extended hour HUBs 6.30-8pm -Mon-Fri and Saturday & Sunday Mornings 8am-12pm

We are working with 13 other practices across Derby City to offer extended access hours opening. This is a pilot study funded by the Department of Health.

Doctors and nurses are based both at Peartree Medical Centre, Coleman Street HC, Spondon, Allestree and The Park Chaddesden and will see patients from our Practice as well as all 13 surgeries. The doctors and nurses will have access to your medical records with your permission.

Patients can book appointments in the normal way. This is a different service to our normal services e.g. patients are unlikely to see their regular GP or nurse, there is no prescription collection service , no walk-in patients  seen and the phone lines are not open.

As part of the pilot study, patient feedback on the service is vitally important and service users will be asked to complete a short feedback form.

The HUB also offers weekend dressings, nurse smear clinics and phlebotomy service which are all pre-bookable.

Repeat prescriptions and other On-line services

You can request repeat prescriptions and book and cancel appointments on-line. Please click here for more information. You will need to collect a letter from the reception staff for your PIN number and proof that you are the person requesting the service.
